Lesson Plans

Three bilingual lesson plans were designed to encourage high school students across Canada to discover two complementary online platforms: The Expedition: A Journey Into Commemoration and The Digital Pilgrimage. These platforms offer new ways to engage in commemoration, emphasizing the history of the Vimy site, as well as its symbolic significance, and the individual connection we all have to war and conflict. 

The lesson plans allow students to use immersive digital technology, apply historical and critical thinking, and interactively reflect on themes and events of the First World War and beyond.
